Schenectady- The Tri-City Cricket Club has completed yet another very successful season, finishing with a record of 11 wins, 3 losses. Over the year, we managed to welcome a host of new members, connect with several new clubs, and played some ultra-competitive, intra-squad matches. We even managed to witness the emergence of a newly energized Man of Kent CC that promises to continue the surge of interest in good, competitive, friendly cricket here in upstate NY. Hell, with the founding of the West Hill CC in Albany this year, and both the University at Albany and RPI fielding teams, and GE Global Research showing signs of interest, the dream of forming a league in the Capital District might not be far from reality! Stay tuned here for any developments.
But now is the time to reflect on what we've accomplished this season, peruse the old game reports, and relive the dog days of summer as the chill of winter sets in. Hopefully in a few weeks, we'll post some more info out here, but for now, here are some photos (SEE BELOW!!!) from our last Man of Kent match up in Hoosac, NY. Stay tuned here and the Sourceline for any news of indoor practices, which may start as early as November this year. Check back and see...at (518)446-4000, and punch in mailbox number 5699, by phone, or right here on the news section of the website
And just to let any newcomers to the site know, regular Friday practices are every at 5:00PM at Kailberg Field in Schenectady, from about late May through mid-October, weather permitting, of course. We usually have matches scheduled every weekend (although they are not always at home... we travel about 50% of the time). So when the weather gets warm again, and you know it will, come on out to a game and see what all the excitement is about. But don't forget to check the Times Union Sourcline ((518)446-4000 box 5699) each week for any last minute changes to the schedule.

Finally, the photos from the final "Over 40 vs. Under 40" match of the year. Yes, the youth of Tri-City won out, but as always, the friendly competition was the best around. And we have the pictures to prove it!
